Decatur Stories is where this city's local stories get told on camera, by the people living them, right here in Decatur, Alabama. We're the team behind Happenings with Steve, our weekly community show, and Decatur Stories, our growing library of video features on the teachers, business owners, first responders, and neighbors who make this city what it is. Decatur didn't have a place to see and hear those stories — so we built one. This site is where you'll find all of it: episodes, features, and the people behind them. Meet Steve
Steve Garner created Decatur Stories to celebrate the people and stories that make our community what it is. Steve is a lifelong resident with a passion for uncovering the hidden gems of our neighborhood. His journey began with a simple conversation at a local coffee shop, which sparked the realization that many of our community's most impactful narratives remain untold. Through this platform, he aims to bridge gaps and foster a deeper sense of belonging for everyone who calls Decatur home.
